Top 25 Music Videos of 2012 Chart

The final year end chart is here! The top 25 music videos of 2012 were incredibly hard to decide upon, but the list has finally been completed! From crazy ridiculous videos to touching, emotional videos, it's time to countdown the best this year had to offer!

25. Dark Side - Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson delivers a touching video for her third single. While the song had mediocre success on the charts, the video was still excellent. Kelly opens the meaning behind the song to a multitude of people and it's great!
24. Turn Me On (feat. Nicki Minaj) - David Guetta
I anticipated this to be one of the best videos of the year...and, for the most part, it was a let down. It delivers on certain levels and is definitely inventive...but takes so long to go nowhere. This could have easily been better.
23. Some Nights - fun.
This is one of the best songs of the year and the video is cool, but seems a little too long. Overall, cool concept and great song!
22. Give Your Heart a Break - Demi Lovato
A cute video from Demi for a good song. It still was a bit lackluster compared to its competition though.

21. Blow Me (One Last Kiss) - P!nk
This video wouldn't even have been taken into consideration if the color version hadn't been released. The end of the video, in typical P!nk fashion, is what lands this video on the chart. The concept is pretty original and not at all what I expected from this song when I first heard it!
20. The Boys (feat. Cassie) - Nicki Minaj
While being far from one of the best songs of the year, the colorful and fun video instantly won me over. Not a fan of Cassie's Crayola yellow hair at points, but the video made me love this song.

19. Dance Again (feat. Pitbull) - Jennifer Lopez
Another video that makes the list for its visuals, despite a crummy song. J'Lo delivers a song that is so stereotypical and standard for her that this video could barely even make it better. The visuals are stunning though so it makes its mark at #19.
18. Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen
The only year-end chart you will see this track on for sure. However, the hysterical ending (that honestly I did not see coming) pushed this ahead of the competition and despite Carly's try-hard attempts at acting young, this loveable video won me over.
17. Starships - Nicki Minaj
I expected something great from this video, but, while it was colorful and fun, it was really just Super Bass 2.0. The video was decent enough to land #17 but certain aspects were a bit sloppy....like the effect with how she appears at the beginning.
16. Girl Gone Wild - Madonna
Dancing last seen at an exorcism and men dancing in heels and tights....sounds like a typical Madonna video right? I love the throwback looks in it as well as the fact that she can still move the way she does at her age! Very unique video.
15. Your Body - Christina Aguilera
Xtina's comeback video was nice...but didn't deliver in a way that says, "this is my big comeback!" Maybe it was the song, but the video left more to be desired. If she left out some of the lame product placement, that probably would have helped too.
14. Better Than I Know Myself - Adam Lambert
They take an interesting approach to leave out the gay lover, but not force him to fake straight. For that, I give them props. I really love how the do the good and bad sides. This whole video is amazing!
13. Blown Away - Carrie Underwood
The dark portion of this video is just flat out amazing, I love the imagery! This would have easily been top 10 if not for the cheesy happy ending!
12. Domino - Jessie J
The visuals and effects on this video slay lives. However, Jessie J really needs to fire her fashion consultant on some of those outfits! This video has such a cool, funky vibe and I completely love it.
11. 50 Ways to Say Goodbye - Train
Train delivers a hilarious video for one of their best singles to date. I can't help but chuckle when I watch it...once I'm done screaming along! Good to see Train making great efforts!
10. Beez in the Trap (feat. 2 Chainz) - Nicki Minaj
This was Nicki's best video effort at the time of its release. It's intriguing and brings back the rap style I had thought she had long forgotten. The only problem I really find with this video is that her lipsync is odd and emotionless at points.
9. Die Young - Ke$ha
This video was exciting and a lot of fun. The one thing that held it back is the crazy special effects. Definitely K$'s best video to date
8. Good Girl - Carrie Underwood
Carrie pulls an Eddie Murphy as she plays 2 characters in this video. The dancing and the imagery makes the song even more intense. A very good video!

7. I Am Your Leader (feat. Cam'ron & Rick Ross) - Nicki Minaj
Say what you will about Nicki Minaj but she has delivered some of the most colorful and fun videos this year. The only artist who has been consistent with videos this year.

6. Give Me All Your Luvin' (feat. MIA & Nicki Minaj) - Madonna
This video is hilarious and Madonna still looks flawless. It didn't serve as the comeback single and video that she wanted it to be, but both landed high up in my books for this year.

5. Pound the Alarm - Nicki Minaj
Undoubtedly Nicki's best video of the year. I love the settings, the outfits, and the song. Nicki's strut with the feathered costume just makes the video. And the chest thrusting. Gotta love Nicki Minaj.
4. Diamonds - Rihanna
This video is visually amazing but really lacks a story that comes together. That's what holds it back. As I was ranking them, I was kind of shocked to see this land this low. The song is absolutely amazing and Rihanna really delivers in this power driven song as she belts it. Love it

3. Try - P!nk
P!nk's most creative video since So What finds the #3 spot this year. The dance is absolutely amazing and this video is raw with passion. It is a bit uncomfortable to watch at first, but, as time went on, I become enthralled with it.
2. Wide Awake - Katy Perry
Katy uses her most amazing video to tell the story of her life throughout the Teenage Dream era through metaphors and visual representation. A lot of people don't get this video, but the English major in me instantly got it and loved it. So much better than that subpar Army ad they passed off as the Part of Me video.
1. I Knew You Were Trouble. - Taylor Swift
This video absolutely blew me away and I've become obsessed with it. The talking at the beginning is so touching and easily able to be related to, as are all things Taylor Swift. The new look is a little odd on her at first, but that's the whole point and she shows that at the end when she says, "I don't think you know who you are until you lose who you are." The powerful song and the dubstep mixed with the way the video was edited makes it so intense. I find myself holding my breath at points like the fight scene. Such an amazing video to overshadow the first two subpar videos she released from this album

2012 seemed a little lacking in quality music videos, unlike 2011. However, here we have counted down the 25 of the best from the year! Let's hope 2013 offers an abundance of videos to choose from next year so we can go back to a top 30!
